Golf Tournament Raises $9,300 for Local Cancer Patients

The “Tee It Up Against Cancer” Golf Tournament, held on February 22nd, has successfully raised an impressive $9,300 to support local cancer patients.

The tournament, organized by the Six Park Ladies Golf League at the Howling Trails Golf Course, brought together golf enthusiasts for a day of sportsmanship and philanthropy. With the generous support of donors, volunteers and participants, this year’s event exceeded all expectations in fundraising efforts.

“We are thrilled to announce that the “Tee It Up Against Cancer” Golf Tournament has raised a total of $9,300, which will directly benefit cancer patients helped by the Renaissance Cancer Foundation,” said Kim Leal, Event Coordinator. “The overwhelming support and generosity of everyone involved will truly make a significant impact on the lives of cancer patients in need.”

The funds raised from the tournament benefit the Renaissance Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Edinburg.

“We are floored by the continuous support of the Six Parks Ladies Golf League!” shares Evelyn Saenz, Executive Director of the Renaissance Cancer Foundation. “The ladies have coordinated this event year after year, and their dedication and commitment to giving back to the community exemplify the spirit of generosity that allows our organization to continue its mission to help underserved cancer patients in the Rio Grande Valley.”
