Meet RICARDO
Since age 12, Ricardo has known the satisfaction that comes from a productive day of challenging work fixing cars. His auto mechanic skills were passed on to him by his father at the early age of twelve. Ricardo was curious to learn what his father spent hours doing.
His curiosity would pay off and provide a means of living – until he became too ill to work. Easily fatigued and in constant pain, Ricardo visited his doctor.
In May of last year, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
Ricardo has completed the necessary chemotherapy treatment. Now, he will start radiation therapy at the DHR Health Advanced Care Center with the assistance from the Renaissance Cancer Foundation.
“I want to give back to the Foundation as soon as I am able to work again,” says Ricardo. His gratitude is also extended to his loving family, who have not left his side throughout his journey.
