Juana wasted no time and visited her doctor after feeling a lump in her breast last October. Her boss, Ruby, a breast cancer survivor, urged Juana to not delay a medical check-up. Unfortunately, Juana’s biopsy results revealed she had breast cancer.

Her surgeon, Dr. Ricardo Martinez, recommended she start chemotherapy before undergoing surgery to remove the breast cancer in an effort to reduce the size of the mass. After six months of chemotherapy, the breast mass shrunk significantly and her lumpectomy was a success! Juana is currently in radiation, and in much higher spirits.

“I am receiving the best treatment for cancer here at DHR Health,” expressed Juana. She thanks the doctors, nurses, and every staff member for being so kind and informative. Juana has a message for other cancer patients: “Don’t ever lose your faith and keep fighting!” Family is the reason behind Juana’s fight.
